Discussion with Kateřina and Jaroslav Slavický

We continue our discussions with personalities from the world of dance, primarily associated with the history of Ballet Prague and the Prague Chamber Ballet.

In 1969, choreographer Pavel Šmok left Czechoslovakia. His Ballet Prague company left a huge mark on our scene and made Czech dance famous abroad. But Basel awaited the famous choreographer, where he would work for three seasons as ballet director. What was that time like? From an independent company to a ballet ensemble, but in a free country. Jaroslav Slavický, director of the Prague Dance Conservatory, and his wife Kateřina will reminisce with us about his engagement in Basel and about Pavel Šmok as director and choreographer.

It will take place on November 2, 2022, in the Small Hall of the Municipal Library in Prague. Tickets are available HERE.
