A Book Launch Party for Pavel Šmok’s Biography

The new comprehensive publication about Pavel Šmok has been launched!

Ondřej Kepka, whose documentary film The Šmok Phenomenon was screed as part of the event, hosted the afternoon party of 31 May. The publication was christened by doc. Jan Halda, CSc., whom the author, dance publicist and historian Lucie Kocourková, had chosen as the editor. Professor Halada was one of her teachers at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, whose lectures focused inter alia on non-fiction; in the latter field, Halada was awarded the Miroslav Ivanov Prize. Since Lucie Kocourková, our in-house writer, focuses on the genre of non-fiction, striving for professional fulfilment of its criteria, we appreciated that Associate Professor Halada agreed to take the new book under his wings.
